EIU VOLLEYBALL RELEASES 2017 SCHEDULE/이스턴일리노이대학교[미국주립대 장학생,미국대학편입]
Eastern Illinois head volleyball coach Sam Wolinski has released the Panthers 2017 schedule which will feature two home tournaments this season in Lantz Arena.
The season kicks off with the EIU Panther Classic sponsored by Comfort Suites on the opening weekend of the season. Teams in the tournament include Bradley, Green Bay and Memphis. EIU will open season against Green Bay on Friday, Aug. 25 before hosting both Memphis and Bradley on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The next week EIU will play in the first of two road tournaments for the season when they travel to Denver on Sept. 1-2. EIU will face host Denver, Niagara and UC Davis in the tournament.
EIU hosts the EIU Volleyball Invite on Sept. 8 and 9 in Lantz Arena with EIU hosting Alabama A&M at a special Noon start time on Friday afternoon. On Saturday EIU will place Chicago State and Western Illinois.
Following a non-conference match at Valparaiso on Sept. 13, EIU plays its final tournament at Indiana State on Sept. 16 with matches against the host Sycamores and Cal State Fullerton.
Ohio Valley Conference play opens on the road with matches at Murray State and Austin Peay on Sept. 22 and 23. EIU's first home OVC match is Wednesday, Sept. 27 as the Panthers host SIUE. That will be the first of four straight home OVC matches.
EIU's final home OVC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 28 hosting Murray State for senior day. The Panthers will play four straight road matches to end the conference season, the final match is Nov. 11 at Southeast Missouri.
The OVC Tournament will take place Nov. 16-18 at the OVC regular season champion.
