University Receives $865,000 ETAP Power Lab Program_Minnesota State University, Mankato[미네소타주립대학교 맨카토]
ETAP, a global leader in power systems technology and engineering that is based in Irvine, Calif., has donated software valued at more than $865,000 to the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Minnesota State Mankato joins approximately 40 other universities in the United States—and is the first college or university in Minnesota—to have the ETAP Power Lab systems engineering software.
The ETAP Power Labs program grants qualifying institutions the academic edition of the ETAP Enterprise Solution, which provides educational institutions access to the leading software technology for the design, modeling, simulation, and operation of electrical power systems.
“We continue our decade-old commitment to power system engineering community by continuously making our technology available to institutions developing the future generation of power engineers,” said Jacque Gahari, the director of global business development & strategic alliances for ETAP.
Brian Martensen, dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Minnesota State Mankato, said the software would be of great benefit to students.
“We are very appreciative and thank ETAP for this software gift,” said Brian Martensen, dean of the College of Science, Engineering and Technology at Minnesota State Mankato. “Adding this software to the curriculum of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Technology will greatly augment the educations of our engineering students in power systems concepts and prepare them for real-world applications.”
