The NDSU College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies is scheduled to host “Solving Real World Problems – An Interdisciplinary Celebration of Research,” Friday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Memorial Union.

The event features a poster competition presented by regional undergraduate and graduate students. Aprille Ericsson, a NASA aerospace engineer, will share ideas about preparing and presenting a research poster. An interdisciplinary graduate student panel of NDSU students sharing their research will follow. Lunch will be provided, followed by a panel of interdisciplinary faculty directors discussing their programs.

Students from all area colleges and universities are invited to participate in the poster competition, but registration is required and space is limited. A cash prize of $100 will be awarded to the best undergraduate and graduate posters.

To participate, students are encouraged to submit a 100-word abstract to Tom Wahl, associate dean of the College of Graduate and Interdisciplinary Studies, by Tuesday, Nov. 1, by contacting Wahl at tom.wahl@ndsu.edu.
