UI Engineering Announces Annual College Award Winners_

The University of Idaho’s College of Engineering is pleased to announce its 2016 college outstanding students, faculty and staff award winners. Each year the College of Engineering presents awards for excellence to the top graduating seniors from every engineering discipline, a top graduate student, an exceptional graduate student publication, as well as outstanding faculty and staff. Award winners will be recognized at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 13, in Janssen Engineering Building 104.
“Our college awards ceremony is a time when we recognize our faculty, staff, graduate students and outstanding graduating seniors for their hard work and dedication to engineering,” said Engineering Dean Larry Stauffer. “Our 2016 award winners serve as role models and help shape our college by setting a high standard of achievement.”

In addition, the college recognizes the efforts of faculty and staff who go above and beyond to make the College of Engineering one of the top engineering schools in the Northwest. This year the college has added a special faculty award for Excellence in Power Engineering. The award is accompanied with a three year $15,000 stipend to a mid-career faculty member who serves students and the college at the highest caliber.
